Sharda University organised North-East Cultural Meet 2018

Sharda University organized North-East Cultural Meet 2018 on September 28 at the university auditorium on a grand scale with great fervor. Students gathered in large numbers. Fresher students from Northeast were welcomed with the grand cultural event. The cultural meet commenced with the performance of traditional Manipuri Dance. The guests were welcomed following traditional 'battle cry' act that has its origin to Naga Tribes' sign of advance victory.

One of the major attractions of the event was the Cheraw Dance by Mizo students. The performance created an aura of regalement all over. Ritual dances of all the Northeastern states were also performed. Along with these, the solo rap and band performances mesmerized the audiences. It was indeed a splendid evening that bestowed the unity of different cultures on a single stage. A contest for selecting Mr. Fresher and Miss. Fresher was held.

The competitors had to go through rounds like playing musical chairs and answering few perplexing questions asked by the judges. The winners were felicitated by the guests at the event. The event saw enthusiastic performances from the fresher students too. It was a pleasant blending dance, music, creativity, and art. The band performance by a team from Assam brought the 4th North-East Cultural Meet 2018 to a conclusion.
