OVERVIEW
The Department of Gynecology& Obstetrics at Sharda Hospital is a tertiary care unit for treating conditions like Menstrual Disorders, Ovarian Cysts, Uterine Fibroids, Infertility, Endometriosis, Urinary Incontinence and Genital Tract Infections. It is well-known for its intensive care services during maternity period and birthing.
The division combines the finest technology and a driven team of excellent gynecologists and obstetricians to meet the patients' needs in a compassionate, and empathetic manner with great emphasis on patient safety. The 24*7 emergency care is one of the major highlights of the department. Highly appreciated for its accurate diagnosis, the department has been able to offer successful treatments to patients helping them to improve their quality of life.

The dedicated team of the department includes Professors, Assistant professors, Senior Residents, Post Graduates & Junior Residents, Surgical Staff and dedicated nurses. The faculty of the department has enough expertise in managing obstetrical and gynaecological problems.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND EQUIPMENTS
Outpatient Department
- Located in C-Block, Ground Floor of Sharda Hospital
- Five consultation chambers are available in the OPD
- Seating capacity for patients in waiting 50
Inpatient department
- General Ward – total 150 beds, divided into 5 units of 30 beds each
- Labour Room Complex – centrally air conditioned consisting of 4 labour tables, Sterile And Septic Labour Rooms, Eclampsia room, HDU, Post Operative room, 1 Minor Operation Theatre , 2 major Operation Theatres dedicated to OBS &Gynae
- Private and semi private beds (As and when requisitioned by the patients ) – fully air-conditioned rooms.
Equipment
- All modern facilities and equipments for Antepartum and Intrapartum fetal surveillance, including NST , CTG and Doppler.
- Colposcope
- Laparoscope diagnostic and operative with Enseal & Harmonics
- Hysteroscope diagnostic and operative
- Imaging facilities
- High resolution ultrasound color Doppler digital X-ray, CT Scan, MRI Scan are available in the radiology department
- NABH accredited laboratory
