A reputed Senior Ophthalmologist and Vitreo-retinal surgeon who has also been doing topical premium and toric IOLS for Cataract surgery as well as Refractive procedures like SMILE in addition to Vitreo retinal surgeries and Medical Retina with Lasers and Anti VEGFs.

He has been Prof and Head Ophthalmology at the prestigious AFMC, Pune as well as Prof and Head in AIIMS, Bilaspur, HP. He has also been Prof and Head at the Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi and was also the Director of Venu Eye Institute, Saket, Delhi.

He has nearly 30 years of rich experience in this field and has been a Medical Council of India/NMC Assessor as well as National Board of Examination Assessor and Examiner

Qualification

He has done MBBS from Christian Medical College (CMC), MS Ophthalmology from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) and received Gold Medal for getting highest marks in Pune University and over 02 Year Fellowship in Vitreo-Retina  from Dr RP Centre, AIIMS

Award & Recognition

Stood for the first in Pune University in MS Ophthalmology and received the Gold medal. Also honoured with Chief of Army Staff Commendation as well as Chief of Naval Staff Commendation and the best Reviewer award.

Research

He has published nearly 50 papers in indexed journals with nearly 200 citations and written chapters in few books. He was the Principal Worker of 04 projects of AFMRC sponsored by the DRDO as well has guided UG students for ICMR Projects.
