Dr. Hitender Basista is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) at SMS&R. He is dedicated to excellence in patient care, teaching, and research, with a focus on fostering academic rigor and professional integrity among students. His teaching style emphasizes conceptual understanding, clinical correlation, and active participation, encouraging students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. His clinical and academic interests encompass otology, rhinology, and head and neck disorders. Experience

Dr. Hitender Basista completed his MBBS from Kurukshetra University (Maullana) in 2012 and obtained his MS in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) from National Institute of Medical Science in 2016. He has a total teaching experience of over nine years, including his tenure at Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) & Lok Nayak hospital (LNJP), Govt. of NCT Delhi for 3 years, & also as in Government Institute of Medical Sciences(GIMS), greater noida for 1 year, and currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of ENT in SMS&R, Greater Noida.

MBBS, MS Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Fellowship in Otology & Rhinology.

Research

Dr. Hitender Basista has published eight research articles in reputed national and international journals, including PubMed-indexed journals such as Cureus, and Scopus, EMBASE, and DOAJ-indexed journals like the Indian Journal of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. He is currently supervising five ongoing research projects in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology. Her research reflects a strong commitment to evidence-based practice, academic excellence, and the continuous advancement of the field.

Certifications

Dr. Hitender Basista has completed his fellowship in otology from KKR Institute, Chennai under DR. K.K. RAMALINGAM enhancing his clinical expertise in advanced endoscopic ear surgical techniques within Otorhinolaryngology. He has done fellowship in rhinoplasty / Nose job from Naksh Rhinoplasty Centre under the guidance of Dr. Satish Jain and Dr. Sunil Tanwar. He has also attended Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) aimed at strengthening his academic, teaching, and research skills, reflecting his commitment to continuous professional development.

Dr. Hitender Basistas areas of professional interest include rhinology, otology, external and internal rhnoplasty and ENT surgical procedures. He is particularly passionate about advancing minimally invasive techniques and promoting evidence-based surgical practice for improved patient outcomes. His interests also extend to fostering academic growth among students and contributing to the development of innovative approaches in clinical research and surgical education.
