DR Awasthi is a graduate and post graduate in the speciality of otorhinolaryngology & head and neck surgery from prestigious Armed Forces Medial College in Pune. He has served in armed forces hospitals in various capacities for 34 years. Presently he is senior faculty as professor and consultant & Sharda Hospital since 2014. 2014.
Dr. Awasthi has 36 years of experience as a specialist and consultant in army and civil hospitals. He is proficient in Micro ear surgery, functional endoscopic sinus surgery and head & neck surgery and has worked in KEM hospital Mumbai and TATA Memorial hospital Mumbai.

Dr Awasthi has been an undergraduate & postgraduate teacher and senior advisor in otorhinolaryngology in armed forces and SMS&R for more than 16 years. He is an active member of association of otolaryngologists of India.
He has published 12 research articles in various national and international journals. He has been in advisory capacity of prestigious Institute of Aerospace Medicine Bangalore for aerospace research.
Dr Awasthi has worked in KEM hospital & Seth GS Medical College for certification in Functional Endoscopic Sinus surgery and in TATA Memorial hospital for Head& Neck surgery. He has done cochlear implant surgery at command-hospital Air-Force arm- force Bangalore.
