Dr. Shashi Bhushan is an alumnus of Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and completed his graduation in 1977. He did his post-graduation in Pediatrics from Army Hospital, Delhi Cantt affiliated to Delhi University in 1989. He did his fellowship in Neonatology for 2 years (1996 – 1998) at AIIMS, New Delhi. He served in Army Medical Corps till September 2013 and contributed raising Neonatal Intensive Care Units giving impetus to care of critically sick neonates. He has been trained to perform point of care ultrasound required for complex neonatal diseases involving brain or heart.
He has been UG and PG examiner and supervisor for PG thesis for last several years.
He has published and reviewed several publications in national and international medical journals. Currently he is Professor & Unit Head in Department of Pediatrics at SMS&R.
He is also a member of Core Committee of National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme.
