Department of Respiratory Medicine, SMS&R is organizing a CME on ”Integrated approach towards elimination of Tuberculosis” & Workshop on 23/3/2023 in SMS&R. Details of the same are outlined below.

Objectives of the Event:

1- Workshop of functioning of Gene-Xpert machine.

• Safety / precaution to be taken in TB. Ward & TB lab
• Collection and processing of the various samples for the workshop of TB & MDR TB.
• Demonstration and hand on exposure of the GeneXpert / Ultra GeneXpert /Pre XDR GeneXpert.

2- To sensitize students (Undergraduate & Post Graduate) Faculty & Staff of Medical collage about various aspects related to Elimination of Tuberculosis.
3- Holistic approach to control of tuberculosis.
